FVLUG Suggestions

We are always looking for feedback on how to improve the user group. This page is for anyone to add what they might want to see covered at future LUG meetings, and how the website content or mailing list can be improved.

Topics to Cover

If you have suggestions or requests for future meeting topics, feel free to add them below. First have a look at the FVLUG page to see what presentations we've already covered in the last year or two; we typically aren't fond of repeating common topics such as file permissions and so on.

Newbie

• -> add beginner topic ideas here!!

• A look at the new GNOME ^? (2.5.x) and KDE (3.2) releases, what's new etc.

• Wine, Crossover, etc

Advanced

• -> add advanced topic ideas here!!

• Implementing RAID ^? on an already running system (IE: convert /home to raid1)

• Postfix - securing, tweaking, LDAP/MySQL, etc

• Shorewall

• Video4Linux -- streaming, encoding, playing

• Voice Over IP / Asterisk
